Carolina Kayak Catfish Slayers High Rock Lake

This is a open event for anglers looking to compete in the 2024 fishing for catfish out of the kayak.

Registration can be done by PayPal @ooneal135@gmail.com (send money via FRIENDS and FAMILY)

Cut off will be Friday Oct 18th at 11:00pm

Entry Fee: $65 ($55 to pot $10 to big fish pot)

ALL PUBLIC BOAT RAMPS.

(only public ramps)

Kayak only (peddle, paddle, electric motors only, NO GAS)

Lines-in: 6:00am - Lines-out: 3:30pm

Launch time 4:30am (earliest launch)

Weigh in 4:30pm/ 5:00pm.

(anglers must be there on time)

Weighins will be held at:

High Rock Marina and Campground

3 fish limit. No minimum requirements for length.

First picture for judges should be identifier and selfie at ramp. Have 3 fish pictures ready for judges at time of weigh in, scoring will start between 4:30pm to 5:00pm.

(possibly earlier if all angler are back by 4:00pm)

Kayak must be in pictures.

PFD Must Be Worn from time of launch to exit of the water.

Buggs Island Battle On The Bank

2 fish combined weight, any species(blue, channel, flathead). All fish must swim away. Scales will be open all night. Teams can weigh in at any time but will not be allowed any culls. All team members must be present at scales to weigh in.

$50 entry per two man team, $10 per extra team member. 10 rods max per team. All team members must fish together!

$10 side pot for biggest fish

$10 will be reserved from each entry fee. $5 will go points champion payout and $5 will go to big fish of the year.

The 3rd Annual Catfish Function: ONE FOR THE KIDS

Saturday May 4th, 2024 Southmont Boat Ramp @ High Rock Lake, Lexington NC

7am-2 pm.:

Weigh in at 2:15

Sign Ups and Live Well checks will begin at 5:30 am

No Fishing After 11:59 pm on May 3rd.

Blast Off at 7:00 am

2 Fish Weigh In

ALL FISH MUST BE CAUGHT ON ROD AND REEL, THE DAY OF THE TOURNAMENT.

We will allow trailoring, but no one trailoring will be allowed to leave boat ramp, until 7 am Blast off to trailer to another ramp

Video Proof required of the child doing the work. We allow adults to set the hook and get the fight started, then they must bring the child in and let that child do the MOST of the work.

We also understand a lot is going on at that time, however shortly after the fish is under control and the youth is doing the work a video must start and capture the most of the fight..at weigh in ALL video will be immediately reviewed by our staff. child with the biggest fish with a corresponding video wins.
